The party struggles to not allow outside game knowledge effect in game knowledge as they quickly identify and kill the prison guard and then proceed to attempt to kill some of the helpless prisoners, *sigh* only in D&D. Listen in and you may find that you would have made the decision too if it was your gaming group. There is some science experiments and cadavers at Unity in store. Hope you enjoy. We had talked about separating the tavern talks from the main episodes for ease of download for listeners who were looking for more rules content then story content. The prior two (or three tavern talks) are lost somewhere at the end of Lightlessness’ episodes (The 5E main season) 1,2, and 3. Fear if you must that I lack continuity or struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder from the changes, enjoy if you can the content that we work to provide you.
Oh yeah, the episode is about changes between 5th edition and Pathfinder Barbarians.
Roll some initiative for roleplaying. There is much for the character’s to do and learn and where better to learn than an university? You will see the dramatic climax of the broken elevator, then have your heart broken by the romantic tension between Quarian and a certain Astronomy Professor, and finally be outraged when Notch illegally uses his in game powers to get closer to Quarian’s girl.
Real happy with the audio quality on this one, because I always focus too much on the technical and I’m sure no one else cares. Tune in next week to hear about a contest we are doing in a desperate plea to get more iTunes reviews and feedback (Don’t let this discourage you from providing feedback and reviews now…they will be grandfathered in.)

The Story continues as our adventures explore deeper into the forge and the heart of education in the country of Felicia. We will be posting Lightlessness for two more weeks and then publishing another Pumpkin Spice Episode. Don’t like it? Well let us know. We are literally available to communicate with in five different methods.
We have removed Tavern Talk out from this episode and will be releasing it as a download later. We plan on doing all Tavern Talks like this in the future.

Thanks for tuning in you D&D loving people. Love Your DM, Ben.
We find our Adventurers united as a team working to investigate what is attacking the farm of an Elf named Fingon Meriwind. The members spend their free time drinking, pursuing personal agendas concerning their background, and balancing their adventuring life with a full time job.
Our Mic is still malfunctioning at the start of the recording so we are using the prerecorded welcome to pathless podcast and the same welcome to Tavern Talk as last time.
I know these episodes are long. Let us know if you’d rather we split Tavern Talks into separate episodes. Feel free to share it with a friend. We love just playing, but hope we can entertain a few as well.
Tavern Talk starts at 1:09:20 where we discuss combat in 5E compared to Pathfinder including movement, actions in combat, attacks of opportunity, flanking, and CR.

The start of an adventure…is always a bit rough. Getting players together, playing a new edition with new rules. So we spend a lot of time roleplaying and laughing. When we recorded this I actually was really sick and out of it with a fever and swollen throat so though I pushed through there are a lot of pauses as my brain catches up to my mouth.
Additionally we lost our opening audio for one reason or another so my wife filled in the missing piece since my throat felt swollen shut.
Enjoy the story’s beginning. Feel free to reach out to us via firstname.lastname@example.org or any other social media.
We’ve added Tavern Talk which is after the play session discussing 5E as it compares with Pathfinder. This episode’s topic is about making characters and what parts they’re comprised of in each edition.

Hurrah! The first season is starting and opens with my unedited, uncomfortable intro where I say exactly what’s on my mind related to our first season of the show, and first campaign in 5th Edition D&D…even if it is not proper English or may come off the wrong way. I’m sure a post with mindless run on sentences will go well with it and when the players listen I’ll likely get picked on, but that’s the joy of putting yourself on the internet. I hope you’ll listen, but here’s the overview:
- Opening Music
- Intro by Ben the DM
- Character Intro by Sam playing Tiefling Warlock Notch Stern
- Character Intro by Matt playing Gnome Rouge Wimble “Baybreeze” Korren
- Character Intro by Jeremy playing Dragonborn Barbarian Morva
- Character Intro by Reid playing High Elf Wizard Quarion Xiloscient
- Outro by Ben
- Closing Music
- Ben did not listen to this mp3 on his phone before uploading to the media server…which he always does because he doesn’t trust audacity. So let’s hope I rolled high in my craft audio file check.
Next week’s episode barring any catastrophes will be the new campaign for those wondering. Also we post every Sunday, sometimes late because my baby won’t fall asleep so I can’t start editing till 10 p.m.
