Beautiful title for a beautiful episode, you should be able to hear birds constantly chirping in the background since it was upper 80’s when we recorded and the AC makes too much noise and costs too much money. Characters make it back to Morva’s homeland and try to find the scale of Moorin. An ancient silver dragon who gave birth to the first of Morva’s dragonborn people.
Players may or may not get trapped in the Hidden Cove. I can’t say much more other than we discuss some Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition system for items by rarity including magical items, attuned items, and the identification of magical items and their properties.

Some pseudo grid-less combat in the spirit of possible play styles for 5E. Players defeat the final boss of the Crystal Cove.
Do you like or do grid less combat? Any tips or tricks? Thoughts on what makes it good or bad? Comment of the episode, email us at email@example.com, or tweet us @pathlesspod?
The crystal cove holds more threats for our players as they progress to the bottom.

Getting these descriptors shorter and sweeter. More 5E combat, a skill task, and maybe a couple hidden surprises in game. One of the areas is inspired by Dark Souls. 10 points to Gryffindor to whoever figures it out. Comment on the episode or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any input ideas or interesting stories from 5E.
The character’s travel down the Kektru Path and find themselves in some sweet and simple(?) 5th Edition D&D Combat. The players catch on quickly (faster than the DM about 30 minutes into the podcast) that they can now move out from behind cover and shoot then get back behind cover without taking any negatives. It’s been hard for me at least to get used to being able to move around while within someone’s threat range without an attack of opportunity. There is talk of disengage and critical hits as well in Dungeons and Dragons Next.
Reid is doing a project checking how long it takes players to make a decision per round in combat. Our experience has been that combat is more exciting with hits happening more often and it feels faster, but the player character’s are still low level so that may be a factor.

If you were wondering…Math of encounter without Morva was 50 xp under hard which was normal before.
This is it, the moment you have all been waiting for. An episode about bartering for services with NPC’s. Hey, that’s D&D for you. There are also some quick and simple homebrew games to simulate an eating contest and tree climbing event, though they weren’t as entertaining as i had hoped since not many of the players wanted to partake in them.
Flank us in the normal places. I’ll be here using a total defense action or in 5E I guess that would be Dodge…maybe I should be ready to use a Help action instead…but that would require someone adjacent to me.
Shout out to Zaran Black for his kind review on iTunes. Thanks to all those who are helping to support the podcast by telling others and listening in each week.
We did our best to talk about some of the changes between Rogues in Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons Next or 5th Edition. The majority of the complexity in Dungeons and Dragons in my experience has been learning the characters and their abilities so we had a lot of mid recording research to make sure we were getting our facts straight.
Anything to add or any corrections? Send them to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will share them with others in the next available episode so we can all grow in the knowledge and fun of these two play systems.
Our rather level headed party takes their time to leave town with the newly freed, prisoner of werewolves, Mytha Light. Ultimately they give her what she wants and accept the plot hook desperately thrown at them by the DM, but before doing so they:stop by work to give notice, notify the authorities of the going ons that they experienced, discuss purchase of farm animals, and check out a book on Dad jokes at the local library.
As always enjoy and feel free to comment on the episodes on the website.

Matt, who plays Baybreeze in our 5E Campaign, got to level up his rouge for the first time in 5E. Unsure of exactly what was involved to do so, and wanting to share in the experience with a friend; we connected online between sessions and talked it through.
Hope you enjoy, please keep in mind that this was a beta of sorts in recording online, and I apologize that I recorded my audio from inside a soviet nuclear submarine.
